ED 100 SG Primary protection  Datasheet

This surge protector is designed to meet international standard IEC61643-11, type I test, and German standard VDE0675/6, Class B. The technology used is the "encapsulated air spark gap", which can handle very high lightning currents (35kA for one pole with 10/350µs impulse) and ensure spontaneous quenching on the short-circuit current of the AC network (up to 2kA rms). The ED100SG can be used to protect a single-phase network (2xED100SG in common mode) or a three-phase network (4 or 3xED100SG). The air tightness of the spark gap allows standard installation (no expulsion of gas in operation). For a maximum protection efficiency, especially in terms of protection level, the ED100SG should be used in combination with ED50 secondary surge protectors.
